Interview– Sarah Holdeman

Sarah thinks about “growth” in everything she does, including how to grow mission-driven organizations’ impact. She believes that any business focused solely on the monetary bottom line is doomed to fail. After years in tech startups where profit and financial gain were put above all else, with impact and purpose as a nice afterthought, Sarah knew there was a better way. As the Vice Chair of the B Local PDX board, she uses these skills to help grow and solidify the B Corp movement in the Pacific Northwest. Her experiences in industries ranging from food and beverage to technology startups allow her to bring a well rounded, innovative approach to projects in service of helping organizations reach their impact goals.

*** We believe in profit-for-purpose capitalism—using business as a vehicle to scale philanthropy and drive meaningful change.

That's why we invite each of our guests to spotlight a charity or organization close to their hearts that is solving real-world problems at the end of each episode.

We encourage you, our listeners, to learn more about these causes and consider getting involved.

Sarah supports Rahab's Sisters, a non-profit dedicated to providing RADICAL hospitality to the houseless community in Portland, OR.

How cool is that? :)
